Is microblading right for you?
This page is designed to give information to help you make an informed decision, on whether microblading is right for you. If after this you decide you would like to proceed, please continue on and fill out the Client Information form, the Photography Release form, and reviewing the cancellation policy and scheduling page, and we will go forward from there.
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup application. It is a technique of inserting pigment into the basal layer of the epidermis, lasting anywhere from 1-3 years. Depending on your skin type, will determine the length of time it will last. More oil producing skin, pushes the ink out and will cause the hair strokes to fade faster. Dryer skin types can have 2-3 years before seeing any fading.
Although 3D brow microblading is effective in most cases, there is no guarantee that can be made for all clients having perfect results. Although extensive measuring and shaping is done beforehand and you approving of everything before we start, some have better healing and holding of ink than others. It is expected to need a touch up within 4-6 weeks after your first microblading treatment. This will be booked at your first appt, before you leave. Over all, the results are excellent, however, it is important to have realistic expectations and following strict at home post care regiment, for best results.
All instruments that enter the skin or come into contact with body fluids are disposable, and disposed of after use. Cross-contamination guidelines are strictly adhered to.
The healing process varies from client to client, but you can expect the color to be darker and more vibrant immediately following the first microblading treatment. This will last 5-7 days, afterwards the color can fade anywhere from 40%-60%, leaving a softer more natural look. If the pigment has faded too much, this is where the crucial touch-up 4-6 weeks later comes into play. Maintaining your eyebrows after the color and shape are achieved can range anywhere from 1-2 years later, depending on skin type and fading.
Biggest question I am asked, will it hurt? I numb your brows before we start, and if after the first numbing you are still sensitive we can apply more, to make you more comfortable. The average pain scale number I hear is 2-3, with 1 being nothing and 10 being the worse pain in your life. It is by no means an unbearable, painful situation.
The entire process takes anywhere from 2 - 2 1/2 hours, split between measuring and shaping, and the actual blading time.
